It’s a saying that speaks volumes about our sport,”I play for the name on the front of my jersey, not the back”. When you live with your team day in and day out, through two-a-days, road trips and post game dinners, wins and losses, you become a family. Whether you’re a freshman or league rookie joining a new family or a senior or veteran leading your providing leadership to your fastpitch siblings, the rewards you’ll find in this game are endless.

Our family at Ringor supports teams across the country in their pursuit of fun and success. Here is a favorite video, highlighting their serious drive to achieve success in the competitive atmosphere of fastpitch softball.

If you’re a regular reader of the Ringor blog, you’re definitely familiar with the William Jewell softball program, lead by head coach Dustin Combs (who previously delivered parts 1 and 2 of our recruiting guide). The small school of 1,100 undergrads in Liberty, Missouri fields one heck of a fastpitch team! The William Jewell Cardinals finished the 2014 season with a strong run in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships elimination brackets, and ending the season with a 29-23 winning record.

So what did the Cardinals do to get hyped for the start of their 2014 season last year? Well, besides their dedication to training and team-building, they put together a “hype” reel to rally the team and their fans as they headed into the season. We love this video, which showcases the Cardinals’ power at the plate and skill in the field.

Check out the William Jewell Cardinals 2014 Preseason Video for some of the best fastpitch being played at the DII level (we’ll post the 2015 video as soon as it’s released!)

Do you have a team video you’d like to share? Post the link in the comments or on our Facebook page and we’ll share our favorites with all of our followers. If you don’t have a team video yet, we encourage you to gather your favorite fastpitch team clips and photos and put them together into a short video before the start of your next season. It’s a great way to relive the past season and rally for the new one..
