In the second part of our NCAA season wrap-up, we turn our focus to the DIII fastpitch softball teams. Don’t discount the small schools, these ladies pack power and teamwork that rivals any DI program and we’re proud of their hard work this year.

So far the biggest on-the-field highlight of the Ringor-wearing teams’ college season has been the Tufts University Jumbos capturing their second consecutive NCAA DIII softball championship. Junior Allyson Fournier pitched a six-hit shutout and Christina Raso knocked in three runs to lead the Jumbos to their Championship win against Salisbury State University. Here at the Ringor headquarters we’re super proud of the whole Tufts team and head coach Cheryl Milligan on their back-to-back Championships. Could this be the making of a dynasty? We sure hope so! Let’s go Jumbos!

Across the continent in DIII, the Linfield College Wildcats wrapped up their season with the program’s 11th straight Northwest Conference (NWC) Championship, with a six win advantage, and a NWC Tournament Championship win. The Wildcats have consistently been a force to recon with in the NWC and brought out the big guns with a ten-game winning streak that lasted through most of April. We would also like to recognize Karina Paavola – Linfield’s Pitcher who has been added to the Ringor Team as a National Sales Rep. We’ll be watching the Wildcats next season as they return with 28 of 33 from this season’s roster. Good luck to our Oregon neighbors!

Ringor works with teams in every collegiate, school, town and travel team level out there. We’re proud of the hard work all of these teams put into fastpitch and are thankful they’ve chosen to wear Ringor. We’ll keep covering team highlights on this blog throughout the year.
