Last week was our Annual Veterans Day Warehouse Sale. This is one of our biggest and craziest events of the year. We welcome softball players in from the local area to wade through hundreds of gently used returns, samples, and closeout items. This year was a just as fun, just as busy, and definitely a success!
People started lining up before the doors opened. Meanwhile the popcorn was being popped (or burnt and the building evacuated…), the last of the signs were being hung, and the Ringor Team was getting prepped! The warehouse was lined up by size so when the players came in it was easy for them to pick their perfect pair.
One of our favorite parts of this event is getting to help out some of our local families and teams that need to stretch their softball budget. Athletic Director Wayne Spencer from Newport High School made a special trip to the sale to help the softball team get outfitted for the upcoming season. “Oh, I am here to get some shoes for girls in our community that maybe can’t afford nice cleats. This is a great way to help some of our girls out, come softball season.” He filled his box with cleats to match the high school’s team colors.
Helping our young athletes stock up on shoes for the next few seasons is one of our Veterans Day specialties. Many girls left with multiple pairs in different sizes to ensure they had cleats that fit well for seasons to come.
We love getting to hear how our local girls’ seasons wrapped up and what they will be doing in the upcoming seasons. This is truly one of our favorite parts of opening up our doors for big events.
We want every softball player to have the chance of finding that great deal on the perfect cleats, so last weekend our Annual Veterans Day sale went online. It was a great opportunity for softball players outside of our community to take advantage of the low prices.
